I saw a buddy icon that I want on Coolbuddy.com but I don't know how to apply it. When I clicked on it to apply it, it said '; Page cannot be found'; It will only let me change it to the icons Aim provides. How do I change it to the one I saw????NEED ANSWERS!!! HELP... PLEASE ANSWER!!! Help!?

the page that givces you the error is something like this:
aim:BuddyIcon?src=http://www.coolbuddy?br>
if you take off the first part - 'aim:BuddyIcon?src=' you'll get this:
http://www.coolbuddy.com/icon/smiley/sm_
then you can right click the picture that shows up and choose to save it to your local hard drive
then use AIM to change the icon to the image you saved.

I have a buddy icon that I want to make my avatar on DeviantART. It's an image of The Guy, the grinny dude from Disturbed albums. He's a shockwave image, by which I mean his teeth flash.
I want to change his dimensions from 60 x 60 to 50 x 50 so I can use him as my avatar, but I don't know how to do that without making him into a static image.

You can always save your pictures onto a CD or other storage device (like an SD card) and then put it in your PS3, press triangle while hovering over the storage media, and copy it to your hard drive.

okay...i always use iconator.com for my icons, (or save them, then use them), but after 2-3 days the icon disappears and it won't stay as an icon forever until i change it! the only icons u CAN get for aim mail are those ones that come with aim (on aim expressions, those cartoon ones) when u see SETTINGS kinda near then press instant messager on the side bar and press the link ';Edit my buddy icon and smilies.';
sorry ino u don't want to hear that but there ISN'T a way. but yea, the only way u can change your icon to the icon u made is to go on the regular aim, go to settings on the top of the buddylist, go to expressions and go to browse look for it in ur pictures and press open. but since u don't use regular aim there isn't a way, again sorry ): going to file, edit, then change icon doesn't work.. there is no file on aim mailAIM icon question???

Check to see if you're using the most updated version of AIM. It is odd that your buddy icon wouldn't save. If you're using the most updated version, you may want to consider changing your password. Then make those changes and see if they are still there the next time you sign in.

How do you add gifs as your AIM buddy icon?
when you select ';upload a picture';, it says the supported picture formats are JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG. Everytime I select a GIF file as my picture though, it doesn't move once installed as my buddy icon...but when I open it normally in the folder it was saved in on my computer, it moves. Why can't I change the expressions on my aim!?
Ok, I recently made a new aim s/n. [my 3rd one] and I love it so much! The new name is so me...so I am happy! BUT I can't change my aim expressions!!! I have no idea why!!! I go to iconator.com and try to download it, but nothing popped up! I even clicked the, if icon doesn't show up, click here button, and NOTHING happened! So I went to the aim expressions page and I tried to change the wallpaper, but I couldn't access the page! It said, page was busy blah blah blah. So I thought, maybe it was just my screenname that's not able to get an expression. So I log into my 2 old s/ns and the SAME happened! This has never happen before. I always have been able to change my icons, wallpapers, etc, now I can't! So I think something's wrong w/ my pc. Can you please tell me if you know what's wrong. If you do, can you please tell me how to change it!? Lol Thanks in advance =]

ok... on my AIM i used to have a baby seal as my buddy icon but then it changed to a starfish and i don't like the starfish cuz its creeepy. i changed it to a turtle for a while and occasionaly i try to change it back to the baby seal but it doesn't work.
here's what i mean....
when i go to the place where you pick which buddy icons, i click on the baby seal and when i click on the apply button it applys a starfish. when i'm chatting with my friends they say that it is a baby seal, but on my computer it shows a starfish.

Okay...so I'm obsessed with the new movie Avatar by James Cameron. I want to change by Buddy Icon on my AIM to this cool Google Image picture I found of Avatar. The first thing i did was save my picture. Then I went to settings on my AIM %26gt; clicked the Expressions tab %26gt; clicked the Browse link %26gt; and then selected my picture %26gt; and then clicked Open. But after I clicked Open, a pop-up appeared and said: ';Error: The height and width of the image must be not more than 64 pixels or less than 15 pixels. (IM-0703';
I figured out that the picture was 535 x 418 pixels, and that AIM Icons need to be 48 x 48 pixels.

ok, I've been trying to upload this GIF, as my buddy icon on aim, and I go to ';upload picture';, then it click ';choose a picture';,then I chose my gif and crop it (like you always have to), and then when I'm done, all it shows is a stand still image of my GIF, no animation, even when I chat with people. I don't know what the problem is, I mean it clearly states when you upload something aim says ';Supported picture formats: JPG,GIF,BMP, or PNG';

I guarantee you that aim does not support .gif files as a picture. Chances are they accept files like .jpg, .bmp, ect...

For your own picture you will need to set up a Yahoo! 360 page at

After you open up your 360 page, click on the “My Page” link near the top of the page.

You will see 4 boxes to upload photos or pics. If you are going to want to use your Yahoo! Avatar on your 360 page sometimes, in the 1st box click on the “add your Yahoo! Avatar” link. By buddy icon, I guess you mean avatar. That is done by going to preferences, display image and the choosing the option you want.

Well I don't know much about Vista, but I know that if you click on an icon on iconator, it'll go to the view icon screen ((where you can see the comments, rating, ect.)) then if you click on it AGAIN, it should automatically download to your AIM.

On the expressions tab you should see your current icon in the upper right corner. Underneath that, there will be a link that says ';browse...'; click on that, find the saved file, and upload it as your icon.

Well I don't know much about Vista, but I know that if you click on an icon on iconator, it'll go to the view icon screen ((where you can see the comments, rating, ect.)) then if you click on it AGAIN, it should automatically download to your AIM.
If that doesn't work...
right click the icon and save it to your computer.
Then, go to your AIM buddy list, and at the top go to edit--%26gt; settings --%26gt; expressions ((tab)).
